Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Scope of Custom Services

PyWorks provides custom software development services, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Point-of-Sale (POS) software, database automations, and custom software integrations. Because these services are tailored specifically to individual business workflows, all project phases are subject to milestone-specific cancellation and refund agreements outlined herein.

2. Discovery & Setup Deposits

Before any coding begins, PyWorks initiates an architectural design and discovery phase. Any initial deposit or booking fee paid to secure developer resources and map workflows is non-refundable once architectural layouts and database schemas have been delivered to the client.

3. Milestone Cancellation

Projects are split into explicit development milestones as outlined in each project contract:

Pending Milestones: Clients may cancel upcoming, unstarted milestones at any time. Any advance payment held by PyWorks for a milestone that has not yet entered active development is fully refundable.
In-Progress Milestones: Once a development milestone has entered active build phase, cancellations will incur a fee proportional to the hours of development completed. The remaining balance of that milestone payment will be refunded.
Completed Milestones: Once a milestone has been built, reviewed, and deployed on staging or production servers, payments made for that milestone are non-refundable.

4. Maintenance & SLA Subscriptions

Ongoing maintenance and Service Level Agreement (SLA) support plans are billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no partial refunds will be given for partially used billing periods.

5. Refund Disbursal and Timelines

Approved refunds are processed within 10 to 14 business days. Refunds will be disbursed back to the client's original payment method (via bank transfer, card network, or mobile wallet through our partner payment processor PayFast).
